The following are some of the most popular things for visitors to do while visiting Stone Mountain Park.

Crossroads

The Crossroads area is a beautiful and accurate replica of a southern town from the 1870s. It offers shops, restaurants, shows, and more. Many of the attractions can be found in the Crossroads area. Visitors can observe the arts of blacksmithing, candy making, and candle making.

The Sky Hike

This is a relatively new attraction. This unique hike for the family takes people high above the ground and through the treetops. Visitors travel along wooden suspension bridges, net bridges, and more.  It is the perfect adventure for the whole family. Guests can choose from multiple courses depending on his or her experience.

The Scenic Railroad

The Scenic Railroad is a full size train that has open-air cars that take guests on a five-mile excursion around the mountain. The views from the train are breathtaking, and photographers will want to take advantage of the trip.

Some other favorites include taking a ride on the Riverboat, viewing the 4D Tall Tales of the South Movie, and playing some miniature golf at the Great Locomotive Chase Adventure Golf course.

In addition to all of the regular wonderful attractions that visitors will find at Stone Mountain Park, they will also be able to attend a number of different festivals throughout the year. A few of the popular festivals are the Tour of Southern Ghosts, the Pumpkin Festival, the Yellow Daisy Festival, and the annual Laser Show.

The cost of admission to the park with the Adventure Pass, which gives guests a full day’s access to the park’s attractions is $25 for adults, $22 for seniors, and $20 for children from 3 – 11 years old. Visitors will also find a Twilight Rate of $15, which is applicable in the late afternoon.

People who come to Stone Mountain can stay at one of the nearby hotels, or they may even opt to camp out. No matter where people decide to stay, everyone is certain to have a great time.
